Technical Standards of Oil Filters

The technical standards for filter products in our country are divided into four levels: national standards, industry standards, local standards, and enterprise standards. According to its content, it can be further divided into technical conditions, test methods, connection dimensions, series parameters, quality scores, etc. In order to facilitate the comprehensive mastery of filter standards by filter manufacturers and users, the Automotive Filter Committee of the China Air Compressor Industry Association and the Filter Branch of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association recently compiled and printed the book “Compilation of Filter Technical Standards”. The Compilation includes 62 current national standards, industry standards, and internal industry standards for filters that were published before 1999. The product standards implemented by filter manufacturers are often determined by the requirements of the supporting host factory. With the increasing number of joint ventures among domestic OEMs and the introduction of new models. International standards (ISO) and filter technology standards from some advanced countries have also been introduced and used accordingly, such as Japan’s (HS), the United States’ (SAE), Germany’s (DIN), France’s (NF), etc. For general users of filters (drivers, repair shops (stations)), the standards that need to be understood should be the technical conditions. These standards have made specific provisions for the technical indicators of oil filters, diesel filters, air filters, and three filter elements. In addition, the QC/T48-1992 air compressor gasoline filter approved by China Air Compressor Industry Corporation also specifies the technical specifications of the gasoline filter.
